Adam Haigler is WIELD's Founder & Chief Executive Officer. His experience as a leader, educator, facilitator, entrepreneur, author, and nonprofit executive spans two decades.

Adam is passionate about supporting people and organizations that are dedicated to the greater good of people and planet. Indeed, he has devoted his life to the pursuit of bold passions that could make a positive impact - from educational programs for teenagers, to a nonprofit focused on fostering innovative school cultures, to a collective that inspires more Design Thinking through impact-oriented events, and even a marketing company that primarily served indigenous clients, artists, and changemakers.

Having co-founded four organizations in addition to WIELD, and acted as an Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Digital Marketing Director, Award-winning Science Teacher, and Lead Instructor for Outward Bound, Adam is no stranger to building systems and strategies from the ground up while motivating teams to pursue excellence through effective collaboration. He thrives when he is tasked with coaching, developing, training, and mentoring people in ways that encourage them to achieve seemingly impossible goals.

Along the way, Adam has co-authored two books, The Gap Year Advantage and Open Up Education, which both encouraged the pursuit of experiential learning inside and outside of schools. He has also authored many blogs about these topics and devoted much of his career to fostering more effective and engaging teaching strategies in schools as a teacher, trainer, instructional coach, and leader.

This path has cultivated a deep empathy for different people and perspectives, a bias towards action, an ability to execute on compelling visions, as well as strong facilitation and leadership skills. WIELD exists so that Adam can offer his support in flexible and customized ways to fellow changemakers and innovators.
